The streets are so tiny in this area! (Notice almost no one is out, I am learning I am the only crazy that goes out into this heat to explore. Most people are out and about after 6 pm.)
Town Hall
Thought this was neat! We have these back home, Escape Rooms! ( I definitely recommend doing one as they are so much fun!)
Pedicure anyone?
A restaurant name and I couldn't help myself, it's the math teacher in me!
I love how you can see the mountains from here.
There's the sea!
Some neat things made during the Ottoman Empire.
I was a little creeped out by this guy! They found him in the moat as they were excavating. They believe his cause of death was due to being beheaded.
Tombstones
Tiny passages, made for tiny people!
The basement I was so creeped out being in.
Another tombstone, there were several, but I thought this one was cool looking. This was in honor of a noblewoman.
At one point the castle was attacked and they had to rebuild in the late 1500's. This is a picture of the original window however notice that there is no light?! That is because they rebuilt right around the old structure.
Suits of armor!
Lots of weapons; swords, guns, cannonballs and more!
Really impressed with this marble counter. This did have a special name, but I forget :/
Once I finished at the castle I cooled off at a local coffee shop. It was really quite nice and the coffee was enjoyable, it was called the Coffee Gallery. Again somewhere else I would recommend, however I don't know about the food as I did not eat there.
I then enjoyed a nice lunch at home, a classic turkey sandwich. Then I went exploring for another beach. I really really enjoyed this beach. No pebbles, no trash and I even found a nice shaded spot under the trees. This beach was near Amathus Beach, not sure if it was that one in particular as again I couldn't find any signs but I did see it next to the hotel name Amathus.
To end the night Roy and I went back to the Old Port/Marina area with his work friends, Simon and Eva. Simon and Eva are really funny people as Simon is from Hungary and Eva is a Cypriot. I love going out with the locals because they teach us a lot about the culture and take us to great restaurants! We went to a restaurant named Derlicious, and it really was! The prices were extremely reasonable. I loved having the halloumi, a greek cheese that doesn't melt, and the tzatziki sauce. Which I have now learned to make; blend cucumber and garlic and mix with yogurt, olive oil and a little salt. I think I know what I am going to be making when I get home! Here are some pictures of the Marina from last night.
Where we got a drink after dinner.
My dream boat, or should I say yacht?!
The Marina

I love that the presumed cause of death for the skull-less skeleton found in the moat is "presumed beheading"!
